Ein weiterer schöner Monat ist vorbei. Mai war der erste Monat indem es (zumindest in Berlin) meistens warm war. Schon alleine deswegen ist er damit mein Lieblingsmonat in diesem Jahr. 

Okay nicht nur deswegen, es war auch ein sehr schöner Monat für mich. Und wie am Ende jeden Monats ist hier eine kleine Zusammenfassung. Ich freue mich dann schon auf Juni!

Introducing: Daphne Guinness

Wie könnte man von dieser Frau nicht fasziniert sein? Sie trägt die verrücktestden Outfits ohne dabei lächerlich zu wirken sondern ist immer ganz sie selbst dabei.
Ich habe euch ja schon letzte Woche erzählt, dass ich unbedingt über sie schreiben möchte. Bei meiner Suche nach Bildern habe ich dieses Video gefunden und konnte es euch nicht länger vorenthalten!
Ich bin mir aber ziemlich sicher, dass das nicht mein letzter Post über Daphne Guinness sein wird...



How couldn’t I be fascinated by that woman? She wears the craziest outfits without looking ridiculous. And that in her age! (Even though persons like her never have an age) I have told you guys already on Sunday that I will write about her. By searching for pictures of her I found this amazing video and I couldn’t hesitate to show it to you.

Chocolate shoe

Zu meinen 17.Geburtstag bekam ich einen Schuh aus Schokolade geschenkt. Ich wusste von Anfang an dass ich ihn mal für einen Outfitpost verwenden werde, nur noch nicht wie. Die Idee kam mir im Restaurant, Inspirationquelle war eine Burger servierende Kellnerin. 

Darauf stimmte ich mein Outfit ab, und nachdem ich festgestellt habe, wie schön das Licht in meinen Treppenhaus ist, fragte ich Meroda ob wir ein paar Fotos machen wollen. und jetzt serviere ich euch das Ergebnis.

To my 17 birthday I got a high heel made of chocolate. I have known immediately that I will use it for an outfit post but I didn't know how. But a few days ago in a restaurant I saw a waitress serving a burger and I thought why not serving instead of the burger a high heel? That’s how the idea was born. The next step was to look in my closet for something which looks waitress like. Then I have asked Meroda to take a few pictures and that’s how I got an outfit post after a long while.

Last week

 Letzte Woche war sehr warm  weswegen ich ( wie ihr hoffentlich auch)  viel draußen war und dort auch viel fotografiert habe. Dabei sind diese Bilder entstanden und damit einen weitere Review of the week.

Last week was so sunny and beautiful that’s why I spent the most time outdoor and photographed sometimes. That’s why I think its time for a next “Review of the week”. I hope all those reviews don’t annoy you!

Es ist unglaublich wie warm es in Berlin momentan ist. Der ist wohl endgültig da und bleibt hoffentlich noch schön lange. Eigentlich wollte ich heute über Daphne Guinness schreiben, aber aufgrund der Temperaturen habe ich mich zu einen Sommer inspirierten Post entschieden.

What a wonderful sunny Sunday in normally cold Berlin! Actually I wanted to post today about Daphne Guinness but the weather makes me changing my mind that’s why my post today is inspired by summer.

The actual Mulberry campaign reminds me the most of summer. It is definitely one of my favourite this year.

Common Vintage Shooting

Am Sonntag waren ich und Meroda bei einem Shooting von Common Vintage. Das Shooting war für die Seite von Common Vintage, auf der man bald auch Kleider online tauschen kann. Eingeladen wurden wir von Katrin, der Gründerin von Common Vintage, die wir auf dem Bloggerflohmarkt kennengelernt haben und die uns dann auch zu der Common Vintage Kleiderparty eingeladen hat, vielleicht erinnert ihr euch ja daran. Für das Shooting sollten wir entweder Kleidungsstücke mitbringen, die wir gerne tauschen würden oder welche, die wir niemals eintauschen würden.

Sunday Meroda and I went to a shooting for Common Vintage. We were shot for the upcoming site of Common Vintage on which you can soon swap clothes online. Maybe you remember the name common vintage. Yes? Right, it was that amazing swap party were I got my lovely ballerinas. For the shooting we should decide if we want to wear clothes we would like to swap or clothes we would never swap. Now look at the picture and guess what decision I have made ;)

 When you are interested in the skirt you can swap it!

Ich weiß nicht ob diese Zusammenstellung für euch Sinn macht. Es sind eigentlich alles ganz verschiedene Bilder von Accessoires bzw. Schmuck. Und doch haben sie eine Gemeinsamkeit: Ich liebe sie alle!

Sew it yourself

 Kennt ihr das? seit Monaten steht etwas ganz oben auf der To-do-Liste, aber aus irgendeinen Grund bleibt es dort auch. Eigentlich wollte ich meiner Freundin zum Geburtstag ein Federtasche machen -aber irgendwie kam ich nie dazu (was peinlich ist, da sie im Oktober Geburtstag hat). Aber besser spät als nie kommt hier mein Tutorial für eine selbstgenähte Federtasche.

You probably know this: you plan something; you put it on your to-do list but for some unknown reasons it stay there for like ages. Yes, that’s the story of the pencil case which should actually be a birthday present for my best friend (her birthday was in October so it is really embarrassing for me) anyways, better later than never: Here’s my tutorial for a self-made pencil case.

Was ihr dafür braucht: Schere, Stoff, Heftfaden, Nadel, Stecknadeln, Nähmaschine

For everyone who doesn’t speak German: I am sorry I didn’t have the time to translate it all and to be honest my English isn’t good enough to translate this.

Hier ist das Ganze auf Papier dargestellt. Die Länge eurer Federtasche sollte der Länge eurer Stifte und eures Reißverschlusses entsprechen ( ich empfehle euch ca. 18 cm)

Die Breite des Hauptteiles ist abhängig von dem Durchmesser des Kreises (die zwei Seitenteile der Federtasche).

Mit dieser Formel rechnet ihr das aus:
2π×r (=die Hälfte des Durchmessers des Kreises) 

Den Reißverschluss einnähen: Dazu den Reißverschluss FALSCH herum auf die rechte Seite des Stoffes legen (=heißt, die Seite, die später außen sein soll). Fixieren mit Heftfaden (= Faden den man später problemlos rausreißen kann) und auf der anderen Seite wiederholen.

Jetzt kommt der schwierigere Teil: Die Seitenteile müssen auf das Hauptteil genäht werden.
Dafür legt ihr die Stellen, an denen ihr den Stoff eingeschnitten habt, aufeinander und fixiert es (am besten wieder mit Heftfaden).

Jetzt das Ganze mit der Nähmaschine nähen, die Heftfädenrausziehen- Voilà!
