Inspiration by Armin Zogbaum

Das schöne an Events ist, dass man -abgesehen von seinen Freunden- auch sehr interessante und begabte Mensche trifft. So ging es mir als ich bei dem Calvin Klein Event den Fotografen Armin Zogbaum traf und mit ihm Visitenkarten austauschte. Ihr kennt sicher viele seiner Fotos aus der Werbung beispielsweise von Lindt und Nespresso. Auf seiner Website, die ihr euch unbedingt anschauen solltet, waren so viele schöne Bilder, dass ich etwas Zeit brauchte um diese Auswahl zu treffen. 

Do you know the the publicity of Nespresso or the one of Lindt where the pralines look much more delicious than in the reality? They are made by the photographer Armin Zogbaum I had the chance to meet at the Calvin Klein encounter party. On his website are such a lot of awesome pictures that it was difficult for me to make a choice.

Zeitlos schön

Vor zwei Wochen habe ich einen Artikel über eine Kunstausstellung in der Vogue entdeckt, bei der ich mir sofort gedacht habe: Da musst du hin. Gemeint ist die Ausstellung im CO Berlin über Modefotografie der letzten 100 Jahre vom Condé Nast Verlag. Das Archiv von Condé nast beinhaltet der Fotos von Vogue, Elle, Glamour und damit die bedeutendste Sammlung von Modefotografie des vergangenen Jahrhunderts.

As I found an article about a photography exhibition about the fashion photography of the last 100 years of the Conde Nast editor in vogue I knew I have to go there. The exhibition will take place in the CO Berlin. Today will be the opening. I am looking forward…

Gucci museum in Florence

Leider habe ich es in Florenz nicht mehr geschafft, das Gucci Museum zu besichtigen. Wenn ich diese Bilder sehe bereue ich es umso mehr. Wie ihr vielleicht wisst, habe ich ein Faible für Fashion Museen, Ich finde sie sehr interessant, da man in ihnen nicht nur erfährt wie sich die Menschen früher gekleidet haben, sondern auch viel über ihren Lebenstil. Außerdem zeigt die Kleidung vergangener Epochen: Auch wenn sich die Mode ständig ändert, gibt es Dinge, die immer als schön empfunden werden. Eine Tatsache, die ich sehr beruhigend finde.

Sadly I didn’t have time to visit the Gucci Museum in Florence. When I see those pictures I regret it even more. Maybe you know already that I love fashion museums. For me they are very interesting because you don’t just learn about fashion of the past decades but also about their lifestyle. And- and that’s really important and comforting for me- the fact that even though fashion changes that fast, the really beautiful things will stay.

Photography to feel free

Manchmal habe ich abends das dringende Bedürfnis noch mal rauszugehen, ganz alleine einfach um ein bisschen vor mich hinzuträumen und mich zu entspannen. (Ich weiß nicht warum aber ich bin Überzeugung die Luft ist abends besser...). Vor zwei Wochen war dieses Bedürfnis besonders groß -nachdem ich meinen Vater zuliebe zwei Stunden in einen überfüllten indischen Restaurant ein Deutschlandspiel geschaut habe. Während ich also die Torstraße entlanglief wurde ich von einen extrem gut gestalteten Schaufenster aus meinen Tagträumen gerissen. Es stellte sich heraus, dass das Schaufenster zu einer Kunstausstellung gehörte, die "Big Boy wanted" hieß und sicherlich eine der besten war, die ich seit langen gesehen habe. So lernte ich die Fotografin Friederike Franze und ihren Blog  Freiseindesign kennen, von dem all die faszinierenden  Fotos sind.

Sometimes in the evening I feel like taking a walk. Just to calm down, to dream and to breathe. (Yes for some reasons I am sure the air is better in the evening). Two weeks ago after watching a football game for two hours in an Indian restaurant, I was very up for taking a walk. While I was walking down the Torstraße I saw suddenly a shop window which jolted me out of my dreams. The window belonged to an art opening which is called “Big boy wanted” and definitely one of the best I have seen the last time. I am immediately fallen in love with the fascinating colour and powerful pictures. Then I got to now the photographer and her awesome blog called “Freiseindesign” and I have collected some the best pictures of it.

Hallo meine Lieben,

Obwohl ich Freitagabend sehr erschöpft war (private Hintergründe, blabla...), bin ich noch zu drei Vernissagen gegangen. Und ich kann wirklich sagen, ich bin froh, dass ich das getan habe. Nicht nur wegen der Ausstellungen, die einen Besuch definitiv Wert waren- sondern auch wegen des Abends, der mich sehr zum Nachdenken gebracht hat. Übrigens auch über meinen Blog. Deswegen habe ich gestern damit verbracht über ein neues Konzept nachzudenken und ich hoffe, ich kann euch bald etwas Neues auf meinen Blog präsentieren.

Hello dears,

Even though I was very exhausted on Friday (private stuff, blabla) I went to three vernissages. And I am very happy I did it. Not just because of the pictures which are definitely worth a visit- but also about the evening which makes me think about a lot of things which also include my blog. That’s why I spent yesterday thinking about a new concept and I hope I can soon present something new.

But first of all: The pictures of Friday.

The first opening I have visited was the "We are glass" photography exhibition at Marquee Bar.

Sadly it was very late when I arrived at Betahaus for the preview of Terranauten Project.

Details of a lamp which is made out of CD

 Terranauten is a very interesting project of Kay Strasser. On the pictures he took it looks like the model would fly. And the amazing fact is that it is not made by a picture edit program. The Model which is also a dancer really flies.
