If Today was Your Last Day

21. 12. 2012, 22.15 Wenn es nach dem Maya Kalender geht laufen, gerade unsere letzten Stunde auf ab. Auch wenn ich von Verschwörungs- Weltuntergangs usw.-Theorien wenig halte, hat mich der Gedanke, dass dieser Tag der letzte sein könnte, beschäftigt. Ich meine, es muss kein Weltuntergang sein, es reicht vollkommen von einem Reisebus zu überfahren zu werden wenn man gerade zur U-Bahn rennt. In meinen Fall wäre das nicht mal so unwahrscheinlich. Und was würdet ihr tun, wenn ihr wüsstet, dass ihr nur noch einen Tag hättet? Freunde und Familie treffen, euren dramatischen Abgang planen oder nur schlafen und Lebkuchen futtern?

According to the calendar of the old Mayas our last hours are coming. Even though I don’t believe in those theories, I am fascinated by the thought that this day could be the last. I mean, there is no need for a dramatic doomsday it would be enough to run into a bus on the way to the metro station. In my case that’s not even unlikely. What would you do if you got only one day? Meeting family and friends, plan you dramatic departure or would you just sleep and eat sweets?
